Architects of Ukraine, Denmark develop manual on democratic restoration
The National Union of Architects of Ukraine and the Danish Association of Architects have developed and are presenting the manual titled "Democratic Restoration of Ukraine."
As reported by the union's press service, the joint project discusses the role of architects and urbanists in restoration, analyzes urban planning legislation in Ukraine and Denmark, and examines the histories of restoration of cities and territories after disasters in the world (Warsaw, Dresden, Ukrainian cities after the Second World War, New Zealand after the 2011 earthquake, etc.).
In the issue of distributing funding in the restoration process, the authors tried to focus on the rationality of use, namely from the point of view of creating and stimulating effective and sustainable communities.
The manual will be publicly presented by its authors on January 30 in Lviv.
