Trump hopes China will help him end the war in Ukraine

U.S. President Donald Trump has said that he always liked Chinese President Xi Jinping, and expressed hope for China's help in the peaceful settlement of Russia's war against Ukraine.

"Hopefully, China can help us stop the war with, in particular, Russia-Ukraine, and they have a great deal of power over that situation, and, we'll work with them, and I mentioned that during our phone conversation with President Xi. And hopefully, we could work together and get that stopped," he said during an online chat after a special address at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos on Thursday.

According to Trump, his administration looks forward to getting along very well with China.

The U.S. leader also noted that he really likes President Xi Jinping.
