URCS, Bucha City Council sign cooperation memo
Maksym Dotsenko, Director General of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS), and Anatolii Fedoruk, Mayor of Bucha, signed a memorandum aimed at developing social services and humanitarian activities within the Bucha City Territorial Community.
“Our joint efforts are focused on improving the quality of social support for the population, providing necessary equipment … This collaboration will also enhance the provision of social services to help restore normal life to the people of Bucha, who have been affected by the war in Ukraine," URCS quoted Dotsenko on Facebook as saying.
Establishment of a Community Recovery and Development Centre in Vorzel is one of key cooperation areas. This modern facility will support community residents, help restore their potential, and promote social integration.
Creation of the Ukrainian Red Cross Hub is also planned. The hub will serve as a centre for humanitarian assistance and coordination of the organization’s activities in the region.
Additionally, the memorandum provides for joint humanitarian activities. As part of this partnership, the parties will collaborate to provide social support to the most vulnerable people in the community.
This memorandum marks another step towards the long-term recovery and development of the Bucha community, founded on the principles of partnership, humanity, and support.
Since 2022, the Ukrainian Red Cross has been actively collaborating with the Bucha community to restore and rebuild educational and healthcare facilities, as well as providing comprehensive humanitarian assistance to the population.
