Trump asks Saudi Arabia, OPEC bring down cost of oil which could put immediate end to war in Ukraine
U.S. President Donald Trump has said he would push for a drop in the price of oil, expressing confidence that Russia's war against Ukraine would then end.
"I'm going to ask Saudi Arabia and OPEC to bring down the cost of oil. You gotta bring it down. Which frankly I'm surprised they didn't do before the election. […] Right now the price is high enough that that war [between Russian and Ukraine] will continue. You gotta bring down the oil price, that will end that war. You could end that war," he said, addressing remotely the World Economic Forum in Davos on Thursday.
