Ukraine needs at least 200,000 peacekeepers to guarantee security – Zelenskyy
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy supports the idea of introducing peacekeeping contingents as part of security guarantees, but at least 200,000 European peacekeepers are needed to prevent a future possible attack by the Russian Federation.
"I support the idea of contingents as part of security guarantees. Because if they [the Russian Federation] have an army of 1.5 million, and if we have half as many, it means that we need contingents with a very significant number of soldiers," Zelenskyy said during a conversation with representatives of the international Media Council at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.
The President added that at least 200,000 peacekeepers are needed from all Europeans.
