Syrsky: work underway to create our own air defense system
Ukraine is working to create its own Ukrainian air defense system, said Oleksandr Syrsky, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Back in Soviet times, we actually produced all the control systems for anti-aircraft complexes. That is, we have the capacity and opportunities to create, and work is underway to create our own domestic air defense system," Syrsky said in an interview with TSN.Tyzhden.
When asked if Ukraine could have its own analogue of the Patriot air defense system, he replied, “I hope that it [the Ukrainian complex] will be no worse in its characteristics than the Patriot.”
