Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umerov has arrived on a working visit to the UK where he met with Secretary of State for Defense John Healey.
"The primary focus of our discussions was aligning plans for bilateral cooperation in 2025 on key security priorities. The United Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to providing continuous and comprehensive support to strengthen Ukraine's position both on the battlefield and on the international stage," Umerov said on Facebook on Monday.
He emphasized that Ukraine anticipate enhanced military, political, and economic assistance from our British allies this year.
According to Umerov, particular attention was given to the development of Ukraine's defense-industrial complex.
"The UK has already invested in the production of our weapons, and this collaboration continues—specifically, funding will be directed toward the production of air defense/missile defense systems and long-range weapons," he said.
