One killed, one injured in shelling of Ukrainian city of Pokrovsk on Jan 10
A Russian attack on the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region on Friday, January 10, killed one woman and injured another, according to the Pokrovsk City Military Administration.
"At 9 AM on January 10, shelling struck the private sector in the city's central area, killing a local woman and damaging two homes," the administration reported on Saturday.
The attack also targeted the Shakhtarsky neighborhood, damaging two multi-story buildings. "A woman born in 1946 sustained injuries," the report said.
Donetsk Regional Military Administration head Vadym Filashkin stated that 14 settlements in the region were shelled 14 times over the day.
"266 people, including 14 children, were evacuated from the frontline," he added on Telegram.
