Germany to provide almost 50 guided missiles for IRIS-T systems
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, at a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein format) on Thursday, promised further support for Ukraine.
"Germany continues to provide Ukraine with reliable and substantial support. The previously announced six IRIS-T systems will be delivered in 2025. In addition, Germany will provide almost 50 guided missiles for the IRIS-T systems," the German Defense Ministry quoted Pistorius as saying.
The ministry noted that Pistorius announced further support at today's meeting of the Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine, including the upcoming deployment of two Patriot fire units and 200 Bundeswehr soldiers in Poland for six months to protect the NATO logistics center for Ukraine.
