Defense forces shoot down 41 enemy drones – AFU Air Force

On the night of Wednesday, January 8, 2025, Russian invaders attacked the territory of Ukraine with 64 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of simulator drones, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

"As of 09:00, the destruction of the 41st Shahed-type attack UAV and other types of drones in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions has been confirmed," the Telegram channel says.

In addition, 22 enemy simulator drones were lost without negative consequences, three of them flew in the direction of the Russian Federation, one flew to Belarus.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
