Anne of Kyiv brigade fulfills certain tasks in full force – General Staff

The 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade, also known by the nickname Anne of Kyiv, currently fulfills certain tasks in full force, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) told Interfax-Ukraine.

"This is a newly formed brigade that received training on the territory of France and it is acquiring capabilities during hostilities on its own brigade line of defense on the Pokrovsk axis," it said.

The AFU also said that even before "some organizational problems of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade became known to the media, the AFU command had started a probe into the situation, and particularly into a significant number of desertion cases."

Measures are being taken to improve discipline and psychological state of servicemen, the General Staff said.

"This had allowed to reduce the number of desertion cases. The units of the brigade currently receive additional equipment, and the brigade has been strengthened with drone units," the AFU said.
