Sybiha: We in contact to clearly define time frame for General Kellogg's visit to Ukraine

The visit of the U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia in the future administration of newly elected President Donald Trump, retired General Keith Kellogg, will take place "in due time," Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha is confident.

"For us, the meeting and visits of General Kellogg are extremely important. And I am sure that this meeting will take place in due time. We are in contact to clearly define the time frame for its holding, to fill this meeting with maximum content," Sybiha said at a press conference with his Icelandic counterpart Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir in Kyiv.

The Foreign Minister also emphasized that Ukraine is glad to "all visits of American friends."

"This is the first position. The second is that we very much hope that after the inauguration, the first visits of the heads, the leaders of the already appointed new administration will take place in Ukraine," Sybiha said.

Earlier, Reuters, citing four sources from Trump’s entourage, reported that General Keith Kellogg had postponed his familiarization trip to Kyiv, which had been planned earlier.
