Zelenskyy: there’re no people who could control me
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that there is no person who could control him, because the only thing that can control is the laws of the society or the state where you live.
“I am an ambitious person. I can’t submit to anyone. I can live by rules, by laws. I believe that this is the only thing that can control any person today. These are the rules and laws of the society or state where you live. And I believe that this is the most important thing. There’s no person who could control me as I once told President Trump when we had a meeting,” Zelenskyy said in an interview with Lex Fridman, published on the YouTube channel of the President’s Office of Ukraine on Sunday.
According to him, the oligarchs who controlled flows and people, or influenced politics, have escaped or are in prison, and there are "specific people" who are behind bars.
“I think this is the answer regarding the influence. Would they like to influence me in the same way as any president of Ukraine because finance and cash flows always influence politics? Well, at least they want to do this,” Zelenskyy stressed.
According to him, managers carry out the tasks of the president, and one such manager is the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak. “I am glad that I have such people,” the head of state added.
