URCS trains more than 300,000 people how to provide first aid
More than 315,000 people have received first aid training from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS).
"We understand how important this knowledge is for those who live under constant shelling. Therefore, we strive to teach as many people as possible, because it can save lives," Nadia Yamnenko, head of the first aid department of the Ukrainian Red Cross, was quoted as saying on Facebook on Thursday.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation (February 24, 2022), first aid skills have become more relevant than ever. URCS professional instructors conduct 6- and 12-hour trainings throughout the country, including frontline cities, where training is conducted in shelters.
The UUkrainian Red Cross pays special attention to rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and workers of critical infrastructure, who are the first to find themselves in dangerous conditions and should be ready to help not only others, but also themselves.
