Russia capable of continuing war against Ukraine in same volumes as now – Budanov

Russia has the ability to wage war against Ukraine in the same volumes as it is currently fighting, said Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Answering the question on the air of the telethon about the extent to which Russia is capable of continuing the war in the same volumes as it is now, Budanov said: "Unfortunately, it is capable. It is capable in the volumes that it is now."

At the same time, according to the head of military intelligence, the Russian economy is slowly regressing.

"But as I said earlier, in 2025 we will definitely see the Russian economy and financial sector approaching a dangerous level, but this is not the destruction of the Russian Federation. This must be clearly understood. This is the line after which they will need to make serious systemic decisions at the state level," Budanov said.

He pointed out that until then the Russian Federation will hold out. "Yes, they can completely switch to military rails, but whether they want this is a big question," Budanov added.
