In Kurakhove area, enemy accumulating forces for assaults, increasingly using stealth cloaks - Khortytsia Task Force
In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy is accumulating forces for assault operations, it is noted that the Russians are increasingly using anti-thermal cloaks at night, said Major Viktor Trehubov, spokesman for the operational-strategic group of forces Khortytsia.
"So far, we are noting the accumulation of enemy forces for assault operations in order to improve the tactical situation in this area," Trehubov said on the air of the telethon on Thursday.
He pointed out that 31 combat clashes had taken place in the Kurakhove direction over the past 24 hours. In the urban development of Kurakhove, in the areas of Dalne, Dachne and Uspenivka, assault groups of Russians are trying to "further infiltrate our combat formations."
"This happens mainly at night or in conditions of poor visibility (during fog). It should be noted that we are increasingly noticing the use of anti-thermal cloaks by the enemy at night," the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported.
The speaker noted that the Russians’ tactics are to move in small groups and try to "cling" to buildings and bypass the urban development in the vicinity. "The fact that the enemy is advancing in small groups does not mean that there are few of them," Trehubov added.
The 8th and 29th Russian armies, the 90th tank division, the 20th motorized rifle division and the 5th and 110th separate motorized rifle divisions are operating against Ukrainian forces there, the speaker noted. In addition, enemy artillery is trying to attack Ukrainian positions in the city, but as a rule, it destroys city buildings, the Ukrainian Armed Forces indicated.
