Russia strikes Ukrainian TPPs, causing significant equipment damage – DTEK
On the morning of December 25, the Russian military launched an attack on DTEK's thermal power plants (TPPs), causing significant damage to equipment, the company reported on its Telegram channel.
"Today, Russia carried out yet another massive terrorist attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, targeting DTEK's thermal power plants. As a result, critical equipment at the TPPs suffered significant damage," the statement read.
The company emphasized that once the shelling ceased, energy workers promptly began addressing the damage and restoring equipment functionality.
"This marks the 13th heavy attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure this year and the 10th targeted assault on DTEK's energy facilities," the company said.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, DTEK's thermal power plants have been shelled over 200 times.
