Zelenskyy appoints Mariana Betsa as head of Ukraine's National Commission for UNESCO
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Iryna Borovets from her post as chairperson of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO and appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa in her place.
"To amend Article 2 of decree No. 1022/95 of the president of Ukraine dated November 9, 1995 on the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO, to appoint Deputy Foreign Minister Mariana Oleksandrivna Betsa as chairperson of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO, relieving I. Borovets of these duties," reads the text of decree No. 872/2024 dated December 21, published on the website of the head of state on Saturday.
