During a meeting between Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets and his Russian counterpart Tatiana Moskalkova in Belarus, the bodies of the fallen soldiers were repatriated.
As Lubinets said on Facebook, the meeting was organized with the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
"We handed over the lists of prisoners of war, discussed the issues of their verification, as well as lists of illegally imprisoned civilians," the Ukrainian ombudsman said.
In addition, the sides exchanged parcels and letters for prisoners of war.
"We passed 1,500 packages with warm clothes and other necessary things," Lubinets said.
He also noted that they discussed ways of further interaction for the return of prisoners of war, civilians and solving humanitarian issues.
