Ukraine lacks air defense, F-16s in sky – Zelenskyy
It is impossible to move forward at the front if you do not control the sky, Ukraine lacks air defense and the number of F-16 fighters is not enough, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.
At a press conference in Brussels on Thursday, commenting on discussions about lowering the mobilization age, Zelenskyy pointed out one of the important factors that the war is already “very technological, not the first and not the second World Wars.”
“People are important, of course, equipment, but modern technologies, missiles, drones, long-range capabilities, air defense - all these are very important things. How can you move forward if guided bombs fly from the sky to your head, and you don't control the sky. That is, there is not enough air defense and the number of F-16s in our sky is still not enough. That's what's happening,” the president said.
