Zelenskyy: Trump to increase efforts aimed at ending war
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Europe "should be at the negotiating table when the time comes."
"Like Ukraine, the EU must start negotiations in a strong position, and Europe's strength lies in unity… We need coordinated work for a lasting peace, not just the suspension of hostilities that Putin is seeking to gain time. We must push Moscow towards a real, sustainable and guaranteed peace," Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram on Thursday.
The President also noted the importance of a coordinated position of the EU after the newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump takes office.
"We all understand that in January, President Trump will increase efforts aimed at ending the war. It depends on us whether Europe will support him with a strong, united voice," Zelenskyy said.
