Ukraine financially secured for next year, but not strong enough for certain diplomatic steps – Zelenskyy
Ukraine is financially secured for next year, but not everything has been done to say that it is strong for certain diplomatic steps, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told journalists in Brussels.
The President noted that partners had taken important steps to strengthen the Ukrainian economy, recalling the Ukraine Facility program, and also that the United States had transferred $20 billion to the World Bank fund for Ukraine.
"We are financially secured for next year. I believe that this also strengthens Ukraine. But not everything has been done to say that Ukraine is strong for certain diplomatic steps," Zelenskyy said.
He emphasized that Ukraine will do everything "so that next year we can be strong and move on to diplomacy."
"To be honest, I don't believe that Putin wants the war to end, so we'll figure it out. In any case, from our side, we'll do everything to end this war fairly for us, for Ukraine," the president concluded.
