SBU conducting planned counterintelligence activities in Pechersk district of Kyiv, in particular in govt quarter
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is conducting counterintelligence (security) activities in Pechersk district of Kyiv, in particular in the government quarter of the capital of Ukraine, the SBU press service reports on the Telegram channel.
"The events are held in cooperation with the State Security Department of Ukraine, the National Police and the Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The purpose is to check the counter—sabotage protection of state facilities, as well as to strengthen the security of residents of the capital and persons in respect of whom state protection is carried out," the message says.
It also clarifies the actions that security forces carry out with the direct participation of representatives of the State Security Department: "Inspection of the territory and individual premises (premises, offices, common areas of apartment buildings, public service institutions, etc.) to identify prohibited items; carry out checks of citizens located on the territory of the government quarter."
"During the events, there may be restrictions on passage through the streets of Kyiv, checking documents, inspecting cars," the security forces explain.
The SBU is asking citizens to treat possible inconveniences with understanding and to respond properly to lawful actions and demands of law enforcement officers, to have identification documents with them, to observe the curfew regime.
It is emphasized that the events take place taking into account the legal regime of martial law with the direct participation of the State Security Department of Ukraine, the National Police, the Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Grouping of Forces and Means of Defense of the city of Kyiv.
