Trump's special rep for Ukraine to visit Kyiv in Jan
The trip of Keith Kellogg, nominated by U.S. President-elect Donald Trump for the post of special representative for Ukraine, will take place in early January, Reuters reports.
According to the sources of the publication, Kellogg is due to meet with high-ranking Ukrainian officials in Kyiv. At the same time, he does not plan to fly to Moscow.
The interlocutors of Reuters clarify that Kellogg's team is working on organizing meetings with the leaders of the countries in Paris and Rome. However, the trip planning is still incomplete and the route may change.
The sources of the publication noted that the purpose of such a trip is to collect facts, not active negotiations.
According to Reuters, such a trip demonstrates Trump's desire to put an end to the war between Ukraine and Russia as soon as possible.
