The situation remains the most difficult on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove axes, where the enemy forces have noticeably intensified its offensive on Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Vremiv, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Oleksandr Syrsky has said.
Speaking online at the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities on Tuesday, he reported a difficult operation and strategic situation at the front.
"The situation is the most difficult now on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove axes. The adversary has significantly intensified its offensive in the Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Vremiv directions, trying to break through our defense, but has no success," the Commander-in-Chief said.
He also noted that the enemy offensives on the Orikhiv and Prydniprovsk axes are less intensive.
The situation is tense but controllable in the south of Ukraine, Syrsky said.
