Up to 20% enemy losses caused by Ukraine's mine blast barriers – Syrsky
The Russian occupation forces have lost up to 20% of military personnel and armored vehicles due to Ukraine's mine blast barriers in 2024, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Oleksandr Syrsky said.
"In the current situation, the engineering structures and fortification, as well as mine blast barriers are very important. In 2024, the losses of personnel and armored vehicles of the Russian troops caused by our mine blast barriers have reached up to 20% of the total enemy losses," he said, speaking online at the Ukrainian Congress of Local and Regional Authorities on Tuesday.
Syrsky also noted that the engineering units of the Support Forces, the State Transport Special Service, and the regional military administrations were engaged in the construction of positions and defensive lines.
