EU sanctions 26 individuals, 2 legal entities from Belarus - Journal of the EU
The European Union on Monday added 26 Belarusian citizens and two Belarusian companies to its sanctions list for human rights abuses and "benefiting" from cooperation with Belarusian authorities, the Official Journal of the EU said.
The newly sanctioned individuals are mainly judges and prison bosses accused by the EU of violating human rights.
The list also mentions businessmen, including Andrei Rybakov, the general director of JSC Belaruskali, and several co-owners of Vlate Logistik LLC.
The new sanctions also target Vlate Logistik and Ruzekspeditsiya LLC.
