As result of massive attack on energy infrastructure, TPP equipment seriously damaged – DTEK
On Friday morning, the Russian Federation carried out another massive terrorist attack on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, hitting the DTEK thermal power plant.
"According to preliminary information, there are no casualties," the energy holding reported.
At the same time, according to its data, as a result of the massive attack, the thermal power plant equipment was seriously damaged. After the shelling ended, energy workers quickly began to eliminate the consequences and resume the operation of the equipment.
"This year, this is already the 12th massive attack on the Ukrainian energy sector and the ninth massive attack on the company's energy enterprises," DTEK noted.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the thermal power plants of the energy holding have been fired upon more than 200 times.
As reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the Russian attack on December 13 one of the largest strikes on the country's energy sector.
