Estonian PM: Ukraine is part of Europe, should be part of NATO
Estonia will continue to support Ukraine, in particular, it pledges to allocate 0.25% of its GDP, and Ukraine should also be part of NATO, Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal said.
During a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Michal said Estonia pledges to allocate 0.25% of its GDP; and if Ukraine can do more in cyberspace, Estonia has a cyber delegation in Ukraine today. If Ukraine can do more in heating or energy, Estonia will do it, because it understands that winter and spring will be very difficult. He also assuared they made it clear with the EU and NATO: Ukraine is part of Europe and should be part of NATO.
In turn, the head of the Ukrainian state thanked Estonia for its straightforwardness regarding the future of Ukraine both in the EU and NATO.
"I cannot talk to you about long-range [weapons] you do not have it, like, for example, Germany. But I am sure that if you have it, you will give it to us. But we can talk about the EU and NATO – we are counting on your position, on the continuation of the position," Zelenskyy said.
