Another child returned to Ukraine from occupation – Yermak
Another child has been returned from the occupied territory of Luhansk region within the framework of the Ukrainian President's initiative Bring Kids Back UA, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak has said on Monday.
"The Ukrainian President's initiative Bring Kids Back UA managed to bring home the son of a Ukrainian servicewoman who had stayed under occupation for the past three years. Before the full-scale invasion, he lived with his mother and grandmother in Svatove, Luhansk region, but after his mother left to defend the country [...] the boy stayed with his grandmother. Two weeks ago, the grandmother died, and the child found himself alone under the threat of deportation to Russia and placement in a boarding school. I am grateful to our partners Ukrainian Child Rights Network for organizing this return," he said on the Telegram channel.
