Medical institutions often illegally use Red Cross emblem - Kyrylenko
Medical institutions quite often, when developing logos for themselves, illegally use the Red Cross emblem, said Iryna Kyrylenko, a representative of the legal support department of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS), at a press conference.
"Quite often, the emblems that medical clinics develop for themselves use the Red Cross logo," Kyrylenko noted.
According to her, in such cases, the organization goes to court.
She added that today absolutely all medical institutions that illegally used the Red Cross emblem have recognized in court the illegality of this action.
The lawyer emphasized that the illegal use of the symbols of the Red Cross, the Red Crescent and the Red Crystal (Article 445 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is punishable by a fine of up to fifty non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or probation supervision for up to two years.
