Zelenskyy, Scholz discuss additional strengthening of Ukrainian air defense

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz discussed additional strengthening of the Ukrainian air defense during a meeting in Kyiv.

"Today, we also discussed with the Chancellor additional strengthening of the Ukrainian air shield and air defense systems that Germany is helping us with," Zelenskyy said at a joint press conference with Scholz on Monday.

The head of state also thanked Germany for the announced defense assistance package worth EUR 650 million. According to Zelenskyy, the aid package names not only its volume, but also a clear delivery schedule – December this year.
