Zelenskyy, Scholz lay flowers at memorial of Ukraine’s fallen heroes
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz paid tribute to the memory of the fallen heroes of Ukraine on Independence Square.
According to a video posted on the Telegram channel "We are Ukraine", the leaders of the countries laid flowers at the national memorial to the fallen heroes on the Maidan, thereby honoring their memory.
Later, Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram: “Together with Chancellor, we honored the memory of all our warriors whose lives were taken by Russian aggression. Eternal memory to all Ukrainians, to all our heroes, who lost their lives to Russia's criminal actions.”
