During war, URCS rapid response units spend almost 80,000 hours eliminating consequences of Russian shelling
Since the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the rapid response units of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) have been working for almost 80,000 hours at the sites of liquidation of the consequences of Russian shelling and other emergency situations.
“Since February 24, 2022, rapid response units ... have spent more than 79,908 hours of work to eliminate the consequences of shelling and other emergencies,” the URCS said on Facebook on Sunday.
Currently, there are 24 detachments and 15 units of the URCS rapid response units in Ukraine, uniting more than 650 volunteers.
The URCS rapid response units appeared 11 years ago - on December 1.
“The first volunteers who helped the victims during the Revolution of Dignity became a new milestone in the history of the Ukrainian Red Cross. Since that time, they have become an integral and important part of our team,” the URCS noted.
