Police rifle battalions being integrated into combat brigades of National Guard – Klymenko
Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko visited Kharkiv and Donetsk regions on Thursday on a working trip, where he talked with local commanders of combat units of the National Guard, State Border Guard Service, National Police about the operational situation in the subordination zone.
"The commanders of Azov, Chervona Kalyna, the Slovyansk brigade and the Liut Joint Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine reported. For the first time, I heard reports from the commanders of the National Police rifle battalions: the soldiers of the police units have received military training and have already been involved in combat missions. To increase the effectiveness of the forces involved, we are integrating police rifle battalions into the combat brigades of the National Guard," Klymenko wrote on Telegram.
