Some 174 children staying in Donetsk region settlements where mandatory evacuation announced
Some 174 children are staying in 22 settlements of Donetsk region, where mandatory evacuation of families with children has been announced, including 143 in the Pokrovsk community, Donetsk Regional Military Administration has said on Wednesday.
There is one child in Lyman, four in Kostiantynivka, five in the Illinivka community, and 21 in the Komar community.
According to Acting Head of the Service for Children's Affairs Yulia Ryzhakova, 161 children with their parents were evacuated over the past week. Four children left the Illinivka community, one from Myrnohrad, 16 children from each Kostiantynivka and the Komar community.
The largest number of minors were evacuated from the Pokrovsk community – 111 children, including eleven from the town of Pokrovsk.
A total of 321,000 residents are staying in the Ukrainian government-controlled territory of Donetsk region as of November 26. Some 56,000 people are staying in 19 territorial communities defined as the zone of active hostilities.
