G7 condemn Russia’s nuclear blackmail, call use of chemical weapons in war against Ukraine unacceptable
The foreign ministers of the Group of Seven countries condemned the nuclear rhetoric of the Russian Federation, and also expressed concern about the use of chemical weapons by the aggressor country.
“We condemn in the strongest possible terms Russia’s irresponsible and threatening nuclear rhetoric as well as its posture of strategic intimidation. We will never tolerate threats to use nuclear weapons, let alone any use of nuclear weapons, by Russia in the context of its war of aggression against Ukraine. We also express our deepest concern about the use of chemical weapons as well as riot control agents as a method of warfare by Russia in Ukraine,” ministers’ joint statement reads.
