Shmyhal discusses with US Special Rep Verma economic initiatives, Ukraine recovery projects
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal discussed with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State and Acting Special Representative for Ukraine's Economic Recovery Richard R. Verma the economic initiatives and recovery projects for Ukraine.
"We talked, in particular, about investment in Ukraine. I thanked the U.S. Department of State for the decision to reduce the level of travel risks for our nine regions. It is an important decision for people and business. We also discussed governmental mechanisms to attract foreign investment. And the newly created Strategic Investment Council which aims at systematizing priority projects for cities and communities," Shmyhal said on the Telegram channel following the meeting in Kyiv.
The interlocutors also addressed the issue of restoring critical infrastructure and protecting energy facilities, as well as important directions and instruments for reform implementation and acceleration in wartime.
