Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz plan to hold the first phone call in almost two years, Bloomberg reported citing an informed source.
"Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz plan to hold a phone call Friday, according to people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity," it said on Friday.
According to Bloomberg, the call is the first direct communication between the leaders in almost two years.
Earlier, the German Chancellor announced his plans to talks to Putin, but did not specify when this conversation would happen.
