Umerov, Norwegian PM discuss attraction of investments in defense industry
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Norwegian Prime Minister Gahr Støre discussed Ukraine's air defense needs and attracting investments in the defense industry in Oslo.
"I met with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre in Oslo. We discussed the situation at the front and the key needs of Ukraine. We focused on strengthening our air defense ahead of winter and opportunities for Norwegian investments in the Ukrainian defense industry," he wrote on the Telegram channel on Friday.
Umerov thanked the head of government and the people of Norway for the new EUR 500 million aid package. "This is an important support that we really appreciate. Norway stands with Ukraine at this difficult time, and we are grateful for their help and solidarity," the minister said.
