US State Dept updates recommendations on travel to Ukraine
The U.S. State Department has updated travel recommendations to Ukraine for business associations and Americans, Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova said.
"Instead of level 4 (do not travel) for the whole country, nine Ukrainian regions are now assigned to level 3, which sufficiently warns American citizens about the danger, but greatly facilitates visits to Ukraine by representatives of businesses, organizations and institutions," she wrote on Facebook.
According to her, the list of nine regions includes Volyn, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Rivne, Khmelnytsky and Zhytomyr.
"I am sincerely grateful to our American colleagues for this decision. We are working further on increasing weapons, air defense and regional cooperation in order to win faster and increase investment and business activity. This is the only way to self-sufficiency," said Makarova.
According to her, this opens up great opportunities for the development of new entrepreneurial opportunities directly on the territory of Ukraine.
