Sybiha: Zelenskyy, Trump teams agree to start preparations for presidents' meeting

Dialogue between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump, who won the U.S. presidential election, has been established, it is agreed that the teams will start practical preparatory work to organize their meeting, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha has said.

"The dialog between President Zelenskyy and President-elect Trump has already been established. It is established. Just the speed of the phone conversation is direct evidence of the direct dialog between the heads of the countries, which is already established, exists and continues," he told a press conference with High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell in Kyiv on Saturday.

Sybiha emphasized that "of course, possible future contacts at the level of leaders" of Ukraine and the United States were discussed.

"It was agreed that the teams will start practical preparatory work to organize such a meeting. This is what I can tell you as of now," the minister said.
