Erdogan hopes on strengthening Turkey-USA relations, war end in Ukraine during Trump presidency
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the U.S. presidential election.
“I congratulate my friend Donald Trump on his re-election as President of the United States after a tense presidential race. In this new era, which will begin with the elections of the American people, we hope that relations between Turkey and the United States will strengthen, and regional and global crises and wars, especially the Palestinian issue and the Russia-Ukraine war, will end,” he wrote on the social network X.
Erdogan also added that he believes that “additional efforts will be made to build a more just peace.”
“I hope that the elections will benefit the friendly and allied people of the United States and all of humanity,” the Turkish leader wrote.
