Rheinmetall to complete second military plant in Ukraine soon - Rutte
The German defense concern Rheinmetall will soon complete construction of a second military plant in Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said on Monday.
"Rheinmetall has just opened the first plant in Ukraine. The second plant will soon be completed," he said at a press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
Rutte added that Rheinmetall has significantly increased its ammunition production since 2022.
He also said that German industry is extremely important for NATO and Ukraine, and recalled that American and European companies are cooperating in Bavaria to produce 1,000 missiles for Patriot missile defense systems.
