Ukrainian Parliament supports audit reform of Accounting Chamber
The Verkhovna Rada has reduced the number of members of the Accounting Chamber from 13 to 11 and passed a reform bill on its structure, according to Member of Parliament Oleksiy Honcharenko (European Solidarity) on Telegram.
Honcharenko shared that the law (bill No. 10044-d) received 240 votes in favor during the Rada's plenary session on Wednesday.
He explained that, per the bill, the voice of international experts will be decisive in selecting new members of the Accounting Chamber.
"The bill also broadens the Chamber's powers to audit local budget funds, state-owned enterprises, and extrabudgetary funds," he added.
Honcharenko noted that the reform is in line with European integration goals.
