NATO spokesperson Farah Dakhlallah says that the allies have received evidence of the deployment of DPRK troops in Russia.
Dakhlallah's statement was transmitted to Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday by NATO headquarters.
"Allies have confirmed evidence of a DPRK troop deployment to Russia. If these troops are destined to fight in Ukraine, it would mark a significant escalation in North Korea’s support for Russia’s illegal war and yet another sign of Russia’s significant losses on the front lines," she said.
The alliance representative recalled that the allies are actively consulting on this issue, and the representatives of the Republic of Korea will provide the information at their disposal to the North Atlantic Council, with subsequent discussion of this issue.
