Ukrainian Red Cross continues providing humanitarian aid to residents of Kherson
Despite the constant shelling and the challenging humanitarian situation in Kherson, volunteers from the Kherson regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) continue to provide vital support to the people of the region.
“Our team is working in extremely challenging circumstances to support the elderly and people with disabilities. We know that we are awaited, and we cannot let down those for whom we may be their only hope and support,” said Svitlana Shcherbyna, a specialist at the Kherson regional branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross, who is quoted by the URCS on Facebook Wednesday.
Last week alone, they distributed nearly 6,000 food parcels from the World Food Programme, which have become a lifeline for hundreds of families facing incredibly difficult conditions.
