Latvian Saeima Speaker hopes Ukraine will receive invitation to NATO in 2025
Speaker of the Latvian Saeima (parliament) Daiga Mieriņa hopes that Ukraine will receive an invitation to NATO at the North Atlantic Alliance summit in 2025.
"I hope that already next year in The Hague at the NATO summit we will be able to make a political decision on inviting Ukraine to NATO. And we will work to achieve this goal," Mieriņa said at a joint briefing with Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk in Riga on Wednesday.
As reported, the NATO Summit will take place in The Hague (Netherlands) on June 24-26, 2025.
