The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Saeima (parliament) of Latvia are negotiating the creation of a parliamentary assembly, Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk said.
"We have started negotiations between the delegations of the Verkhovna Rada and Latvia. And I think that in the near future we will carry out all the preparatory activities to form a parliamentary assembly of Ukraine and Latvia in the future," Stefanchuk said at a joint briefing with the Chairperson of the Latvian Saeima Daiga Mieriņa in Riga on Wednesday.
Stefanchuk is paying a visit to Latvia, where the 3rd parliamentary summit of the Crimea Platform will take place.
