North Korea backs Russia's policy because of money – Zelenskyy
North Korea is a poor country and therefore it backs Russia's policy because of money, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"I think [North Korea supports Russia's policy] because of money. I think North Korea is very poor. They will send their people to the front," he told reporters on Monday.
Ukraine has detected the presence of North Korean officers and technical personnel in the temporarily occupied territories, the head of state said.
"I think they [North Korea] sent their officers so that their officers understand what is going on first and then send their contingent. Otherwise, how can they command?" Zelenskyy said.
He clarified that it is about language barrier, adding that it is "a serious difficulty."
